Using Ways to Advertise

The way a landlord maintains and markets a property determines the kind of tenants he attracts. As a landlord, you must differentiate your property from others. This is especially crucial when potential renters have lots of options. You can either market your property as newer, bigger, cheaper, cleaner, and/or safer. You can also boast about extra amenities and features.

In advertising your property, place a “for rent” sign. Publish ads on magazines, classified ads, community newspapers, and speciality publications. Have your property listed in free listing services. Post a flyer on bulletin boards at public places like churches, campuses, grocery stores, etc. Tell friends and families that you are looking for tenants. In addition, advertise online through e-mail marketing, e-bulletin, online listing, online newspapers, blogs, etc.
